CHICAGO -- Safeway Inc. is bringing its "lifestyle store" concept to the Windy City.
The company recently opened a Dominick's Finer Foods Lifestyle Store in Chicago's downtown Streeterville neighborhood. Dominick's plans to remodel as many as 25 stores into the new format this year.
The Lifestyle store format allots extra space to produce (including organics), expanded meat and seafood departments, prepared food, and gourmet and specialty offerings.
