You can't say we didn't tell you so.

An interesting new report by the estimable folks at the Center for Studying Health System Change only confirms what this magazine first reported in 2003: that the baby boomers may be coming, but they may not turn out to be the rapacious, healthcare gobbling horde so many prognosticators have foreseen (July 28, 2003, p. 24).

First full disclosure: I've been one of those prognosticators, so I was being generous with that "we'' in the first paragraph. I might be forgiven my past alarm: The thought of the demographic bulge of the 76 million people born between 1946 and 1964 ...
