Apr. 8--NICEVILLE -- When Dorothy Robinson dons one of the hats from her collection, a transformation occurs. Her favorite bronze hat frames her face like a halo, and her face beams with pride.

"I like this hat because it has feathers, and I had always wanted feathers on a hat to flutter just in front of my face," Robinson said.

"This hat represents freedom to me, it's just like flying. I'm free as a bird in this hat."

The felt and feathered creation is the finishing touch for her outfit, and black and bronze suit with feathers and beading.
