PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local BANGCHAK PETROLEUM PCL currently processes 75,000 barrels a day (b/d) of oil. And, the company is planning to increase its output up to 100,000 to 200,000 b/d. In so doing, BANGCHAK recently awarded a fuel oil cracker construction contract to Taiwan-based CTCI CORP.
As things currently stand, construction work was tentatively scheduled to begin in April 2006. The cost to complete the upgrade project has been estimated at $378,000,000.
