PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local SAUDI ARAMCO is currently planning to build 2 joint venture oil export refineries. In so doing, ARAMCO has now reportedly reached an advanced stage of negotiations with France-based TOTAL SA regarding the construction of one of the plants to be sited in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a complex with an installed production capacity of 400,000 barrels per day. If the project goes ahead as envisioned it is expected to require an investment ranging between $4,000,000,000 and $5,000,000,000 to complete.
