John F. McGrath of South Weymouth, formerly of South Boston, a World War II veteran and retired employee of Analogis Co., died Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 80.
Born, raised and educated in South Boston, he later moved to South Weymouth. He graduated from the Gate of Heaven School in 1943.
Mr. McGrath served as a staff sargeant in the Army during World War II.
He worked for the South Boston Postal Auxilliary for 25 years and the Analogis Co. of Peabody for 10 years before he retired.
Mr. McGrath was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Holy Name ...
