FM calls striking SBI employees, mgmt for talks
New Delhi, Apr 9 (PTI) Government today called a meeting of striking SBI employees and management after their stalled talks in Mumbai last night and Finance Minister P Chidambaram was hopeful of a "satisfactory agreement" to end the 7-day old strike over their demand for higher pension.
"Since the talks had stalled last night, Government has called both the management and unions to Delhi for talks. They are expected to reach Delhi later today," Chidambaram told reporters here.
Senior officials of the Finance Ministry will facilitate the talks, he said. "It is my hope that the talks will continue ...
