Tom Humphrey, PE, founded BM&M in 1968. Tom's dream always was to have his own company, where he could design and build his own line of equipment. Using his natural creativity, he constantly sketched ideas on napkins, scraps of paper, business cards, etc. During the first five years, Tom applied for dozens of patents. BM&M was successful with seven patents for a number of different devices for screening equipment and general sawmill processes. The most important patent received was a patent for the eccentric weight screen drive still used today.
