Apr. 10--DEL CITY -- Equipped with helmets, pads and cleats, the Oklahoma City Lightning players look like a typical football team going through spring practice.

Linebackers drill on blocking and reading blocks. The quarterback and backfield work out the timing on pitches, handoffs and passes. Coaches bark out instruction and criticism, calling players by their nicknames.

"I thought for a second Moses was out here, only he was parting the green sea," shouts co-head coach Leonard "Coco" Bulock, scolding the defense for letting a running back gain several yards. "You gotta think. You're breaking down on me."
