With the acquisition of 8,300 cars from Chrysler Rail Transportation, U.S. Leasing's Rail Services unit now has a 19,000-car fleet. Last month, Rail Services President Peter M. Jones announced a major sales and marketing reorganization to meet the needs of an expanded customer base.
Lawrence E. Littlefield, who formerly held sales and marketing positions with Itel Rail Corp., has joined Rail Services as vice president-sales. He will oversee an organization that has been formed into special account teams to serve the division's 250 customers.
