LOS ANGELES - Online footwear retailers had much to celebrate this holiday season.
In interviews with Footwear News last week, e-tailers said that an expanded product offering and consumers' increased comfort with shopping for shoes online helped them post their strongest gains yet for the November-December crunch.
At Boston-based Shoebuy.com, President Scott Savitz said that sales this holiday season surged more than 70 percent compared with last year, with 3.5 million visitors shopping the site in December alone.
