"Dream Home" visitors during the Twin Cities' Parade of Homes Spring Preview from Feb. 11 to March 21 helped raise more than $45,000 toward building houses that will be sold to low-income families in the Frogtown area of St. Paul and the Jordan neighborhood in Minneapolis. The event sponsor, the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, charged a $5 tax-deductible admission fee to see two luxury houses billed as "Dream Homes." Those proceeds went to the Builders Outreach Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable arm of the Builders Association, to help low-income families become homeowners.
