THE MAN convicted of killing Lin Russell and her daughter Megan is fighting to stop publication of a report about his mental health treatment before the murders.
The report into Michael Stone, serving three life sentences for the murders and the attempted murder of Megan's sister Josie, details widespread failures by the authorities. But at a High Court hearing in June, Stone's lawyers will claim publication will breach his privacy.
In 2001 Stone, 43, was found guilty of bludgeoning Mrs Russell, 45, and Megan, six, with a hammer in a country lane in Chillenden, Kent, in 1996.
