Apr. 12--He was the best player, the most successful coach and the only Hall of Famer C.W. Post men's lacrosse produced. But after this spring, Tom Postel will be leaving the program with which he has become so identifiable.
Postel, 61, said he and longtime assistant Stan Kowalski decided two years ago that this would be their final season on the sideline and they would retire. Postel had no way of knowing that this also could be one of the finest teams he has ever mentored and a national title contender.
