Raise your hand if you play checkers. You are in good company. Children all over the world play the game.
No one is really sure who invented checkers or how old the game is. But historians believe two Egyptian kings, RaMeses and Tut, may have enjoyed playing checkers thousands of years ago.
King Tut was a boy when he was king. Think how much fun it would have been to play checkers with him. Imagine yourself saying, "King me!" to King Tut or shaking his hand after a game and saying, "Good game, your majesty!"
