Apr. 12--MUMBAI, India -- Pharma major Roche Scientific on Tuesday announced the launch of its cancer drug, Tarveca (erlotinib), in India. "This drug was launched in the US in October '04 and in the European Union in October '05", GL Telang, MD, Roche Scientific told ET. "It is a post-1995 patent and has been pending for patent approval in India since 1996", he added. It will be marketed by the Swiss-based company's subsidiary, Roche Pharmaceuticals.
Tarveca is a novel therapy for patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Its an oral tablet taken once a day and has a potential to treat many types of solid tumour. It works ...
