INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - POLITICS: Poland's Populist-Conservative Coalition Hopes for Split in Far-Right Party - Prime Minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz will continue to govern even if the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party fails to form a majority government coalition. In such a case, parliamentary elections would take place in the autumn.
The ruling party is negotiating the building of a majority coalition with the leftist populist Self-Defense (Samoobrona) party, with sources indicating that the talks are going smoothly. Such a coalition would be short of the majority by 20 votes ...
