Apr. 14--Brenda Person's T-shirt said it all: "Good morning. Let the stress begin."
Person was one of hundreds of passengers in Central Florida and about 2,000 up and down the East Coast who saw their travel plans thrown into disarray Thursday as emergency repairs on a railroad bridge in North Carolina brought several Amtrak trains to a halt.
CSX Transportation, which owns the tracks, expected to have the bridge repaired by late Thursday. Amtrak planned to restore service to and from Florida by today.
