Apr. 14--Lumps and bumps on Southwest Morgan County 55 will soon vanish as officials have obtained funding to resurface 5.5 miles of the county's longest road.
The original plan was to pave the road before winter, but funding issues caused a delay, said District 3 Commissioner Kevin Murphy.
Using state and county funds, crews will pave Morgan County 55 from Alabama 157 to Massey.
The paving will begin at Summerford Road and go west to Alabama 157.
