Apr. 13--But these days he charges a little less. He's been advising fellow inmates in exchange for a strawberry cereal bar, sandals, a set of headphones and a pillow.
Capoccia, 63, who was disbarred in 2000 and convicted of federal crimes last year, is now known as inmate 06-00370. He's believed to be headed for a low-security facility in western Pennsylvania.
Capoccia wrote of his jail experiences in a 16-page letter to a friend that was provided to the Times Union. The prison memoir, sent last month, is penned in tone of a man who has accepted his sentence of more than 15 years with a keen sense of irony and dark humor.
