David M. Sullivan of Scituate, vice president and treasurer of Sullivan Tire Co., a family-owned business founded by his father, the late Robert J. Sullivan, died unexpectedly Thursday.
Born in Dorchester and raised in Hanson, he attended Hanson Schools and was a graduate of Whitman Hanson High School.
Mr. Sullivan served in the Army.
His family-owned business operates 53 tire dealerships and automotive service centers throughout New England.
Mr. Sullivan was a eucharistic minister and devout communicant of St. Frances X. Cabrini Church, Scituate, where he was an active participant in the vigil to keep St. Frances X. Cabrini open.
