The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held in March 3rd-14th, 2006 has received a total of 5 030 clauses and 74 of them are related to the petroleum and chemical industry.
Thirty clauses are about the oil/gas sector. For example, the clause proposed by Lu Qiang concerns the establishment of an international scientific decision-making support system for crude oil futures transaction and the clause proposed by 24 members including Wang Ruipu concerns the retention of a certain proportion of oil/gas resources in Aksu of Xinjiang for the development of the local petrochemical industry.
