Apr. 17--SPOTLIGHT: BEVERLY MELTON -- Beverly Melton's latest task: Find a receptacle for horse poop.
When the cavalry rides into town on Saturday for Patriot's Day, she's got to be prepared.
"The cavalry is coming with 12 horses, and they're marching to the Smithfield Center," said Melton, marketing and public relations manager for the Smithfield and Isle of Wight Convention and Visitors Bureau. "And you know horses."
