As some of you older industry veterans know, I have been at every single show from the first IPC Expo in Boston to the present. I am not going to discuss what was shown or who was there; you can read about that elsewhere in CircuiTree. Instead, let me give you some observations, and then my view of the future.
1. IPC Expo is no longer viable by itself without APEX. The co-located show is clearly greater than the sum of its parts. Those on the IPC Expo side who are not happy with moving to L.A. should realize that they no longer have any reasonable level of control over the venue.
