Going into the first year of Block 2006, the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) plans to add more sensors and interceptors to expand the initial ballistic missile defense system (BMDS) capability, the director said.
Each two-year block builds on the previous one and each block will provide more layers, redundancy and inventory.
