The grueling weeks of (sort of) training with each other are over. Neal and Cecilie Loidolt are running the Boston Marathon together - in a cosmic kind of way.
All that separates the Brooklyn Park couple on the 26.2 mile course are nine time zones and 7,000 miles.
In fact, Neal Loidolt, a colonel in the Minnesota National Guard, likely has finished the Iraq branch of the Boston race, which was held this morning at Base Camp Adder in the southern part of the country. It's nine hours later at Camp Adder than Minneapolis, meaning he started running at 6 a.m. in Iraq today, which was 9 p.m. Friday in the Twin Cities. ...
