ENGLISH people are three times more likely to celebrate Guy Fawkes' attempt to blow up Parliament than their patron saint's feast day, say researchers.
Only 19% are planning to mark St George's Day this Sunday, compared to 60% who celebrate Bonfire Night and Shrove Tuesday.
A survey of 1,800 people for English Heritage discovered the main reason was not knowing what kind of activity would be appropriate.
