TURNING 21 is a landmark birthday that is usually celebrated with a big party with friends and family bearing gifts.
But for Laura Smith it marked the beginning of a fight for survival.
Laura was forced to cancel birthday celebrations in May last year when just two days before her big day, doctors revealed she had a tumour the size of a tennis ball growing in her brain.
