The Canadian man who killed himself outside South Station stalked 34 sex offenders online before launching an Easter Sunday massacre that ended with two men dead and police racing to ensure he hadn't left more bodies in his rageful wake, the Herald has learned.

Officials also disclosed yesterday that Stephen Marshall slipped through authorities' hands Sunday afternoon when the bus on which he was riding broke down in Lewiston, Maine. State police responded to help the disabled bus, but did not know Marshall was a passenger, officials said.
