WORCESTER, Mass. - Jen May's goal with 21 seconds remaining finished Oregon's comeback for a 14-13 nonconference lacrosse victory over Holy Cross on Thursday.
Ilsa van den Berg tied the game with 1:44 left with her unassisted goal before the Ducks gained possession again and held the ball for a final shot. Alison Leiner set up behind the net and found May streaking into the circle for the winning shot and her second goal of the game.
Leiner, a graduate of Worcester Preparatory School, had two goals and two assists. Theresa Waldron and Jana Bradley also scored twice for the Ducks (8-6).
