Naval Air Systems Command, NAVAIR, has one of the largest concentrations of Supply Corps officers in the Navy. NAVAIR's primary mission is to support the fleet and the global war on terrorism (GWOT) by providing aircraft ready for tasking at reduced cost. NAVAIR Supply Corps officers have filled 18 IA billets to date to include Iraq, Qatar, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and Guantanamo Bay. NAVAIR currently has up to five officers simultaneously deployed and continues to provide support for IA requirements.
