Article: Build a chicken feeder for under $5 in about 15 minutes!.(The henhouse)

Recently I expanded my little chicken pen and needed another feeder for the new addition. My old one had held me well through the years, and was a hand-me-down when I acquired it ... I had no idea how expensive buying a feeder was.

I had the metal kind in mind, the tall canister-type that would hold 25 lbs. of food. I get tired of constantly monitoring their food, and wanted something with little maintenance.

To my surprise, these ran in the $25-$35 range--without the lid! Now, my chickens have a bad habit of perching (and pooping) on anything standing, so not having a lid would not work for me, unless I wanted a feeder full of manure. But I simply could ...
