Bistro Fresh's Salmon with Kashmiri Curry Sauce and Hawaii International Seafood's Cryofresh Ahi Tuna Carpaccio won top honors for best new retail and foodservice products, respectively, in the 2006 New Products Competition at the International Boston Seafood Show.
The Bistro Fresh product comes in eight varieties, including garlic teriyaki salmon, Caribbean mango scrod and shrimp scampi. The packaged entrees are sold fresh, never frozen, and can be microwaved in four minutes.
The Bistro Fresh line is available at Whole Foods Market under the 123 Fresh brand. Another major retailer will be carrying the product soon, says company President Stephen Young.
