States are doing a good job using No Child Left Behind Act technology funding for professional development, collaborating to leverage resources and improving their knowledge base, but are struggling with evaluating programs, finds the 2006 National Trends: Enhancing Education Through Technology report.
For Trends, the State Educational Technology Directors Association surveyed 50 states and the District of Columbia about the impact of the NCLB's Enhancing Education Through Technology program has had in their state, in terms of supporting teacher quality, individualized instruction and annual yearly progress in math and reading.
