A TeENAGE barmaid who lost her job after suffering an asthma attack in a smoky pub has been awarded almost [pounds sterling] 6,000 for unfair dismissal.
Carly Simpson, who uses inhalers to keep her condition under control, became stressed and felt unwell during a busy night in Patrick's Bar in Perth, an employment tribunal heard.
The 18-year-old went into a back room for ten minutes and the manager found her wheezing.
He later told her he did not think she was cut out for work in smoky bars, even though she denied that smoke had prompted the attack.
