Apr. 20--MPS Group is expanding its footprint in the Windy City. The Jacksonville based staffing company said Wednesday it acquired Chicago-based Garelli Wong for $9 million in cash.
Garelli Wong provides temporary and permanent accounting and finance professionals in the Chicago area, where MPS had a small presence.
The acquisition comes about two weeks after MPS announced it paid nearly $8 million for Houston-based Cardinal Health's pharmacy staffing services unit, which provides temporary pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to businesses, including retail pharmacies, hospitals, and mail-order pharmacies.
