DuPage County could become a Mecca for laptop users searching for a wireless hot spot.
Inspired by Aurora's plans to become the first Illinois town to build a citywide wireless fidelity network, DuPage leaders plan to explore the possibility of offering wireless Internet on a countywide basis.
"All I know is that Wi-Fi is the wave of the future," said county board member James Healy, technology committee chairman. "That is something we need to put in countywide and make available to all of our residents."
