BARKER BLACK LTD. may be a new menswear label, but it is one with more than a century of history behind it. Its founder and creative director, Derrick Miller, teamed up with a traditional men's shoemaker in Northampton, England, to create the brand in 2005. And in doing so, the former Polo designer combined his forward-thinking sensibility with tried-and-true British manufacturing techniques. The result is, in Miller's words, "a sophisticated and timeless shoe with a little more of an attitude."
