Article: Sky's not falling on real estate values in San Diego.(Opinion)

For almost a year, some national real estate experts have been clucking like Chicken Little that the sky is falling on San Diego real estate values.

I disagree. In fact, the future of real estate in San Diego in 2006 and 2007 looks very bright. San Diego's continued strong population and job growth indicates that while the rate of real estate value appreciation may slow, there is still a greater demand than there is supply. That means prices will continue to go up.

Due to governmental and environmental restrictions on new development and the absolute shortage of developable land, San Diego continues to be a builder-friendly environment of greater demand ...
