SEOUL, April 21 Asia Pulse - New Zealand strongly hopes to sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with South Korea to tap the full trade and investment potential of both nations, the governor-general of the South Pacific nation said Friday.

"A bilateral free trade agreement would be a logical addition to the longstanding and warm relationship that exists between our two countries," Governor-General Silvia Cartwright told a business meeting in Seoul.

At the 22nd annual joint meeting of the Korea-New Zealand Business Councils, co-hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Cartwright listed areas that could be mutually beneficial by removing tariffs.
