When Brad Hobbs walked into the members club at Brockton Country Club on Easter Sunday, the Abington resident received a standing ovation. Moments later, his fellow golfers asked him to buy them drinks. Hobbs, who turned 58 yesterday, had just given himself an early birthday present by shooting a pair of holes-in-one in the same round at nine-hole Brockton Country Club. His playing partners who witnessed the rare event were Vin Plonys of Brockton, Canton's Dan Baril, Easton's Ed Roche and Steve Foley."That's what it was, a lot of luck," Hobbs said. "I just got up and hit the ball and hoped I hit it straight."
