Madison Memorial took advantage of strong performances in boys swimming and boys basketball to move into the lead in the fourth annual Capital Times' All-Sports Award rankings through the 2005-06 winter sports season.
The Spartans repeated as WIAA Division 1 state champions in boys swimming, placed second in the boys basketball tournament and were eighth in girls gymnastics to score nine points during the winter sports season.
Memorial, last year's All-Sports Award champion, has 14 points to move past Middleton into the lead entering the spring sports season.
