Apr. 21--Brim's Snack Foods sells more pork rinds and ready-to-eat popcorn in the Mid-South than any other snack company, including industry Goliath Frito-Lay.
With the tailwind Brim's has been riding since Tom's Snack Foods went bankrupt late last fall, business at Bartlett-based Brim's is expected to be up more than 22 percent this year, busting the carbo-loading highs Atkins dieters delivered in 2004 and deep-fat frying the chip and pretzel industry's standard of 4-5 percent growth.
