Apr. 24--Residents of San Ramon's fast-growing Dougherty Valley are a step closer to daily bus service linking them to the city's transit center, the Dublin BART station and the Shops at Bishop Ranch -- something viewed by some as a key to keeping many new residents mobile. The board of the County Connection, on which San Ramon City Councilman David Hudson sits as a member, on Thursday approved a transit plan to be funded by more than $2 million in developer fees and other sources.
