HARRISBURG, Pa., April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvanians are learning about the importance and benefits of vaccinations through the state's "Timely Immunization Campaign," which was launched today in conjunction with National Infant Immunization Week, April 22-29.
The campaign includes a series of radio messages that encourage parents to protect their babies' health with immunizations.
"Immunizations are the first line of defense in protecting children from disease," state Health Secretary Dr. Calvin B. Johnson said. "No child should ever have to suffer the effects of vaccine-preventable diseases simply because he or she was not vaccinated in time.
