Apr. 24--Saki Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of automated optical inspection (AOI) devices, is setting up an office in Bangkok, aiming to double its sales in the country this year to US$1.6 million, or around 64 million baht, from $800,000 last year.

Francis Wong, general manager for Saki Asia Pacific Private Ltd, said the budget for setting up the Bangkok office had not been determined yet but it could be similar to the S$500,000 cost of its regional office that opened in Singapore last October.

Saki's products are designed to inspect assembled printed circuit boards.
