Apr. 25--OKLAHOMA CITY -- Senate President Pro Tem Mike Morgan said Monday he notified senators to plan for a possible special session to finish the budget. However, Gov. Brad Henry and House Speaker Todd Hiett aren't so sure a special session will be needed to complete work by the May 26 deadline for adjournment. Morgan said, "Without any question, we are not close to any agreement on the budget and that is the top priority." The Stillwater Democrat met with Henry and Hiett on Monday. Hiett, R-Kellyville, said there was no reason the Legislature can't finish its work in the five remaining weeks.
