WASHINGTON -- The Foundation for Investor Education (FIE) and Securities Industry Association (SIA) today announced that a team of three seniors from Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn. is champion of the national 2006 SIA "Capitol Hill Stock Market Game Challenge."
The Stock Market Game(TM) Program uses mathematics, social studies, business, economics, and language skills to help young people learn about saving and investing and how the capital markets work. Teams of students are given a hypothetical $100,000 to "invest" over a 10-week period.
