Velma Wilkins
MARCOLA - The private funeral was held April 20 for Velma Bernice Wilkins of Marcola, who died April 16 of age-related causes at age 94.
She was born June 16, 1911, in Gardiner to James and Alice Haight Wheeler. She married John Wilkins on Feb. 3, 1930, in Eugene. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a brother, William Wheeler; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband died April 28, 1977, and her son, Harold Wilkins, died Oct. 30, 1992.
