Apr 25, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian mining company, BHP Billiton, faces delays in the start of its Atlantis oil and gas project. The $US1.1 billion ($A1.5 billion) development in the Gulf of Mexico was due to begin production in the third quarter of 2006. However, cyclones in the area in 2005 have caused a shortage of equipment and labour. The starting date for the project is being reviewed, and Goldman Sachs JBWere believes that it will not begin production until the second quarter of 2007.
